So I was all stoked to sit back, eat some Fatburger and watch the first Preseason game of the season. I log into Islanders TV, and the page times out. I tried again, and again, and again – nothing.
When I finally got on, I get to the NHL Center Ice preview and the page times out. FINALLY, after missing the entire first and half the second period, I am watching a crystal clear feed of the game. This is definitely a really great service – but they need a major upgrade of the servers, as it appears they completely underestimated the amount of viewers.
Onto the game – obviously, preseason is a different beast when your top flight guys are not playing. They are running around a little bit, taking some penalties but look pretty good. Sim and Simon are like wrecking balls; Tambellini and Bergenheim are all over the ice. If Park were skating any faster, he would melt the ice. It’s hard to judge what will happen once they get to real hockey, but it looks promising so far.
If you get a chance to check out the feed tonight, or one of the other games this week – head on over to Islanders TV.
