I know I am late to the party, but 2008 First round draft pick Josh Bailey and 2000 first overall draft pick Rick DiPietro are set to play tonight (already in the first intermission) in Florida. You can listen live – NOW by clicking on – this link! Panthers are leading 1-0, as you can see below!

More as it happens

Second Period

Wow, Guerin takes a bad penalty – the Cats score in the first minute to make it 3-0

It’s safe to say that DP not getting much time is keeping his timing wayyyyyyyyy off.

Panthers broadcasters blasting the Yashin and DP contracts yet continue to say he is a world class goaltender and labeled him “The Franchise”.

DP takes a delay of game penalty for knocking the puck out of the air, and over the glass. Then Stillman took a too-many-men to even it up.

Powerplay Islanders

Third Period

Islanders player down, hit from behind… Nobody knows who it is.

5 Minute major on Rostislav Olesz for boarding Chris Lee – Lee is being taken off on a stretcher.

It’s time to send Fritz out and it’s also time to pot a few power play goals to make this respectable.

Halfway point of the 5:00 minute power play, not many shots.

Bergenheim takes a penalty, even up now for two minutes.

And the Panthers score. 4-0
Goal: FLA BOUWMEESTER,J.; STILLMAN,C.; HORTON,N. (14:15 3rd)

Fritz takes care of business…..like I said, but he had no takers and got himself a 4 minute double minor for roughing. Belak got 10 minutes and Boyton 2 minutes.

Panthers score on another delayed penalty, still on the power play 5-0.
Goal: FLA MURPHY,C.; PELTONEN,V. (18:15 3rd)

Panthers score again, 6-0
Goal: FLA HORTON,N.; STILLMAN,C. 24′ Wrist (19:37 3rd)

And, that’s the game.

  1. DON’T YOU FREAKIN’ LOVE THAT THING!!!!

    IT’S AWESOME!!

I think I’m going to use it even when I can actually WATCH the damn game!

  2. Yes, the tracker was great since NHL Center Ice isn’t airing the games yet and I wasn’t in my car to listen to XM Radio.

We really need to chalk this up to DiPi’s rustiness but 3 goals in the final period gave me the feeling that they gave up and it became a shooting gallery on DiPi.

3 days ’til the Devils. BRING ON THE SEASON.

  3. For sure, the tracker is a really cool thing. It’s great for live blogs because it tells you who scored and got assists.

It’s way easier then looking at replay’s on tv – lol
