I had a bone spur removed from my right shoulder two years ago and need to go back for the left one now. Not too fun. Netminder39, I think Silli has at least another season left in the tank should he fully recover from this surgery. However, I could see him come back as some sort of faceoff coach to get his feet wet in the coaching world. Dom,

Of course pitching and skating are very different, so who knows what to expect... I know I've heard of this "resurfacing" surgery before (ouch!), but for the life of me can't remember what athlete had it. I wonder if it's just to make life better for him, or if he'll give playing another go next season. Can't hurt to try. It really is a shame.
