Good afternoon to everyone out there in Isles Country!

If you haven’t already noticed, things may look a little different around here. When I started writing regularly a few weeks back, I wanted to kick things off in style and bring my site a fresh look. It took me a few nights but I’m pretty satisfied with how it’s turned out. How about you? Let us know in the comments!

The old design served me well over these last 10 years, yes 10! It was time, the backend has changed so much and there were a ton of fun things just waiting to be used. Like our #TavaresWatch free agency countdown on the sidebar (or bottom if your on mobile). Kind of silly, but it’s needed unfortunately.

I’m here to announce one more change today. I’ve decided to bring on another writer to keep things fresh and moving here – you may recognize him from Twitter and some other areas around the net, his name is Tony Stabile.

Tony and I actually go way back, back to our days as Season Ticket holders at the Coliseum. I sat in Section 309 Row B, seats 5 and 6, Tony sat directly behind me Row C, Seat 6.

When we first met, I was just starting out in the Blog Box and Tony was always good for a chat, fantasy hockey advice and would eventually start writing himself. Fast forward a few years and he was in things deeper than I was, podcasting and being on the radio. Those were the days when Mike Carver had a little show on Blog Talk Radio, for those that remember. I was on the show with them a few times live from Doolins, I’m sure the audio is still out there.

I look forward to having Tony write along side me and bring the site back to where it was before I let things go. We’re both in a similar spot in life with wives, kids and this painful thing we call being New York Islanders fans – so it should be a good time.

Welcome aboard Tony!
